A few years ago, my grandmother bought me a gorgeous dresser that was a dark wood colour. I had it for years, and never minded the colour. When I moved into my first place, I decided it made the room much darker, and went to Pinterest for inspiration. I decided to paint the dresser white, and change the handles colour to a black matte or brass. I went to Home Depot and bought three samples of white paint, and a can of black matte spray paint. My boyfriend then helped me take all the drawers out, and he sanded the dresser & we painted it with two coats of white paint! It turned out so much better than I had hoped, and brightened our room up so much! I then added a faux fiddle leaf fig tree next to the freshly painted dresser, which made the whole thing come together! I’m so happy with how this DIY turned out ♡
